Time is moving fast lately!
I can't believe it has been almost a month since I have blogged. Lots has happened during this past few weeks!
First, Alicia and Stan and little baby Mila flew in and stays with us for the next month. We almost didn't get to have them here because Mila was not feeling good and they had to postponed their flight twice. We are glad they are here! Mila came right to me without hesitation! Oh, how I missed this little one and the other ones at home in the States.
Mila still remember Grandma. She sat on my lap the whole hour we rode the bus from Airport to Hung Hom!
At the Chinese New Year Day parade!
Mila loves all the lights!
We have been playing tourists with Alicia's family, but it took them a few days to get adjust to the time zone. For Chinese New year, we have a special Hotpot dinner with the senior missionaries at the Area office, Elder and Sister Funk and Elder and Sister Evan joined us. We have almost 30 people with 3 round tables. We had a lot of leftover but everyone enjoy the dinner. Sister Thong took care of the decoration and even pull out the dragon for us to do the dragon dance. Afterward, some of us went to the flower market. It was packed with people!!
Elder's Dragon Dance
Acrobatic show at the Parade!
WE had a great time watching the show, well worth the getting up early to stand in line to buy tickets. The best part is it is only a short 20 walk to home after the show, no fighting heavy traffic!!
During the New Year's eve dinner, Mila started walking, taking longer steps. It was so fun for all the Senior missionaries to witness that and she was the star of the evening. Now she is walking all the time!!
Here are a few more videos from the parade:
A trip with The Varner to Stanley. We love this ocean view:
Dinner after Stanley, We got put in this tiny little corner just next to the kitchen. We thought if we didn't like the food, we could turn off all the light in the restaurant! Luckily, the food was great!
