BYU Graduation

Justin graduated from Brigham Young University on April 24, 2008. Ted and I flew down to Provo, Utah on Wednesday. We attended the Commencement ceremony at the Marriott Center. Elder David Bednar spoke at the commencement. He encourages the graduate to continue to learn and to learn how to love to learn. There are over 6,000 students graduated and over 600 graduated from the Life Science Department. Justin's cousin, Julia's husband, Tim also graduated. It is so excited to see the milestone your children reach. Justin will be moving to Wisconsin to attend medical school in August. We are so excited for him.

I am giving this a try!

After visiting everybody's blog, I, Audrey, decided, may be I should give this a try. So here I am, creating a new posting on the Yan Family site. Suggestions are welcomed. All of your blogs are so beautiful with pictures, scrapbook background and all. Teach me how to do it so mine can look as good as all of yours.

Here is a update of our family:

Justin - graduating from BYU this April and is engaged to Jessica Wu, to be married June 21, 2008, in the Seattle Temple.

Ada - has 3 transfers left on her mission. She is having a ball as a missionary. She had helped baptized a couple families already. We loved to read her email every Monday.

Alicia - Freshmen at BYU, loves the snow there that she go snow boarding almost every week. She informed me that she will need a helmet because she is getting too comfortable with snowboarding and is doing more adventurous moves. She is a great teacher and has a lot of patient in teaching her brother and cousins how to snow board. She is on one of the Folk Dance team at BYU and has her first performance this last Wednesday. You will have to go to her facebook to see the "big" blue spanish dress she was wearing.

Brenda - The only child left at home, sometimes feels lonely because there is no one at home to "play" with. She auditioned for British Dancing Academy's "Charles and the chocolate Factory" show this year and got two solo part... We are so proud of her!

Ted - Working hard still at Boeing. Also, helping out a lot with Grandparents because he could work from home. I don't know if I could have done it caring for my parents without his help. He also served as second counselor in the Bishopric.

Audrey - Trying to keep her business going while caring for mom and dad. Also, working on putting the reception together for Justin and Jessica's wedding. She is very happy to be gaining a daughter!
